TNLSF News: Registration for Light of the Path 2010 is Now Open! • Registration for Light of the Path 2010 is Now Open! Registration for Light of the Path 2010 is Now Open! From the Kadampa Center Community, We look forward to welcoming you to Black Mountain, North Carolina, for the Light of the Path Retreat 2010 led by our most precious teacher, Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Thanks to the amazing teachings by Rinpoche and the wonderful practice by participants, last year was successful beyond our hopes! We hope you will be able to join us this year! Details along with important new information about this year's retreat are on our website: http://www.kadampa-center.org/lop/ We're pleased that the venue, Blue Ridge Assembly, can accommodate early arrivals on Friday or Saturday for a modest added fee, so please plan to come early enough that you will have plenty of time to rest before the teachings begin on Sunday. The International Mahayana Institute (IMI) has generously offered a $355 sponsorship for each IMI monk and nun. Kadampa Center is able to round that up to $400, so costs for room and board will be $400 less for ordained sangha than what is listed on the registration page. Kadampa Center never wants money to be an obstacle for receiving the Dharma. We don't charge a fee for the teachings - or even request a suggested donation. Kadampa Center continues this tradition for Light of the Path Retreats. We are relying on the generosity of all those who value these teachings - whether or not they are able to actually attend the retreat in person - to cover the program and teachings themselves. The FPMT has created an extensive online education program, Living in the Path. The primary intention of this program is to preserve the teaching and practice lineage of Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche. The initial curriculum and course material is drawn from the Light of the Path teachings. There are opportunities to support this retreat, the online teaching program, and the sangha. To learn more, please go to Light of the Path Retreat at http://www.kadampa-center.org/lop/sponsor.php FPMT Online Learning Center at http://onlinelearning.fpmt.org/ IMI at http://imisangha.org/support/lama-yeshe-sangha-fund Space is limited for the retreat. To take advantage of this opportunity for precious teachings in the quiet beauty of North Carolina's mountains, please sign up soon to guarantee your place. Big love, |
